Teaching and Learning
My teaching reflects Vygotsky's constructivism, with influences from Montessori and Reggio Emelia through a student-centered perspective. While working from a set of objectives to meet state and national standards, I attempt to equip my teacher candidates with strategies and skills to work within guidelines, while fostering creative and critical thinking. My face-to-face and online courses involve many hands-on activities to help the connection between theory and practical classroom application.

I am a lifelong learner and through exploration and blessed opportunities, I have discovered and experienced some of life's greatest treasures.
As an ongoing learner of Italian, I have a better understanding of literacy and cognitive development.
I am a storyteller, both through words and photos. I am passionate about everything I do and hope I am able to share that with my students, family, and friends. I love what I do and do what I love - teach and learn.
